Shanghai Sludge Treatment Resource R&D Center Launched

The launching ceremony of “Shanghai sludge treatment and recycling high-tech equipment engineering technology research center(the center)” was held in the blue imagination hall of Shanghai Techase Environment Protection Co.,Ltd(“Techase”) on the afternoon of December 14, 2017.

The meeting was hosted by Mr.Zhang Wenbiao, chairman of Techase. More than 20 people attended the conference, including Mr.Zhang Fan, head of the Shanghai science and technology commission base, Mr.Zhao Jianfu, former vice president of Tongji University, Mr.Zhang Yalei, dean of the institute of engineering and industry of Tongji University, Mr. Liu Jianxiong, party committee secretary of environmental science and engineering institute of Tongji University, Mr.Bian Yongming, dean of mechanical and energy engineering of Tongji University, Mr.Zhou Qi, former dean of environmental science and engineering of Tongji University, Mr.Sheng Jinliang, chairman of Shanghai Tongji Yuanda Environmental Protection Machinery Engineering Co., Ltd., Mr.Liu Daoguang, vice president and director of technology center of Techase, Mr.Song Yu, dean of SRT research institute of Techase, Mr. Huang Yong, deputy secretary of the original party committee of Suzhou science and technology college, Mr.Zhou Lixiang, director of solid waste research institute of environmental engineering institute of Nanjing Agricultural University, Mr.Xu Xiangyang, associate dean of environment and resources institute of Zhejiang University, Mr.Zhu Xingming, executive secretary of environmental protection industry alliance of Tongji, Mr.WuXu, professor of environmental science and engineering institute of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and Mr.Shi Wei of Shanghai Tongji Yuanda Environmental Protection Machinery Engineering Co., Ltd.

Mr. Zhang Yalei, dean of the institute of engineering and industry of Tongji University attended the meeting on behalf of the co-construction unit Tongji University. He also stated that as an outstanding example of the Tongji circle industry, Techase was approved to build the center, which affirmed the position of Techase in the industry, and also proposed higher requirements. He hoped that Techase will have closer cooperation with Tongji University to jointly achieve the transformation of scientific and technological achievements and effectively enhance the industry's innovation capability.

Professor Mr,Zhao Jianfu, former vice president of Tongji University, said in his speech that he hope the project center to focus on the key and hot issues such as the low rate of sludge treatment equipment and insufficient utilization of resources to carry out research and development of sludge treatment and resource utilization equipment technology, which can provide technical support for domestic and global sludge treatment and disposal.

Mr.Liu Jianxiong, party secretary of environmental science and engineering institute at Tongji University, said that it will be of great significance for the engineering center to work with other units in the field of sludge treatment and recycling. By becoming bigger and stronger, we continue to promote the professionalism and become leaders and benchmarks in the subdivision area. Taking the market as the lead and science and technology as the driving force, we can better promote the industrialization of scientific and technological achievements. It can have more vitality.

Mr.Bian Yongming, dean of mechanical and energy engineering institute at Tongji University, said that relying on the results of aerobic fermentation of sludge from the institute of sanitation machinery at Tongji University, the mechanical engineering institute will use the capabilities of equipment development and other aspects to actively promote the application and promotion of other processes. Through jointly-built engineering center, it will promote the industry progress.

Professor Mr. Zhou Qi, director of the management committee of the engineering and technology research center, respectively issued letters of appointment for members of the technical committee.

The first meeting of the first technical committee of the engineering and technology research center was held later. Members of the technical committee discussed the establishment of an implementation plan for the center. In the end, they reached a constructive consensus, which provided valuable wisdom and solutions for solving common problems in the sludge treatment and recycling industry, implementation of results transformation and application demonstration.

Under the guidance of the green development of the new era, the start-up of the center will drastically promote the R&D capabilities of the industry, enhance the professional technical service capabilities, and promote the ability to standardize. As the main undertaking unit of the engineering technology research center, Techase will combine resources from all parties and give full play to its own advantages to make the center become a new field of technological innovation with global influence.
